DCE Scholarship Kerala 2025

The Department of Collegiate Education (DCE), Kerala, invites students to apply for various Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships for the academic year 2025–26. These scholarships aim to support meritorious, economically weaker, minority, and differently-abled students pursuing education from higher secondary to postgraduate levels.

As per updates, the Centrally Sponsored Minority Scholarships for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and Professional/Technical Courses are open till October 31, 2025, through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – www.scholarships.gov.in. Meanwhile, DCE Kerala is expected to open its state-level scholarship registration in December 2025 through its official portal dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in.

The DCE administers 16 major scholarship schemes in coordination with the Department of Minority Welfare and central initiatives. The support covers tuition fees, hostel charges, and maintenance allowances, helping thousands of Kerala students continue their studies without financial burden.

These scholarships are available for students studying from Class 9 to Postgraduation in government and aided institutions across Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility varies depending on the scholarship type, but the common conditions include:

  1. The applicant must be domiciled in Kerala.
  2. Must be enrolled in a government/aided school, college, or polytechnic.
  3. Should have scored minimum 50% to 80% marks in the last qualifying exam (depending on the scheme).
  4. Annual family income should range between ₹1,00,000 to ₹8,00,000 as per the scholarship category.
  5. Applicable to minority, SC/ST/OBC, differently-abled, and girl students.
  6. For some scholarships, hostel or community certificates are mandatory.

Students can apply online by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Visit the official portal – dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in or National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for central schemes.
Step 2: Click on “Student Registration” and complete your profile using Aadhaar or SSLC details.
Step 3: Choose the relevant scholarship (Fresh/Renewal) from the list.
Step 4: Fill in the online form carefully with academic and income details.
Step 5: Upload required documents (marksheets, income certificate, caste certificate, bank passbook, etc.).
Step 6: Submit your application and take a printout for reference.
Step 7: Get your application verified by the institution before the last date.
