PMSS 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must ensure they meet the required conditions before applying for PMSS. The eligibility varies slightly for each category:
1. For Wards & Widows of CAPFs and Assam Rifles
- Dependent wards of personnel martyred during terror or naxal attacks.
- Must be pursuing a professional degree (Engineering, Medical, Dental, Veterinary, BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, Nursing, Agriculture, etc.).
- Must have scored at least 60% marks in Class 12, Diploma, or Graduation.
2. For Wards & Widows of RPF/RPSF Personnel
- Wards or widows of RPF/RPSF personnel who lost their lives in service.
- Minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination (Class 12/Diploma/Graduation).
- Maximum of two wards per family can apply.
3. For Wards of States/UTs Police Personnel
- Children of police personnel martyred in terror or naxal attacks.
- Must be enrolled in an approved professional course in India.

Under PMSS 2025, selected students receive monthly scholarships directly credited to their bank accounts through PFMS.

How to Apply for PMSS 2025?
The application process for PMSS 2025 is completely online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Here’s how to apply:
- Visit the official website – www.scholarships.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Students’ tab and choose ‘OTR (One Time Registration)’.
- Complete the registration process by verifying your mobile number and Aadhaar through OTP.
- Fill in your personal, academic, and service details of your parent/spouse.
- Upload the required documents (marksheets, service certificate, proof of relation, etc.).
- Click on ‘Submit’ to complete your application.
- Keep a copy of the registration number for future reference.
